Well I’m currently back at home and bored seneless… so ANOTHER post!

I knew that I would be bored outta my brains at home before I came so I decided to grab a NWN ISO off the network as I knew it worked on Linux took me a while to get all the resources needed and neccesary updates but it works… work really well actually, better than I had first thought. So I have been playing that a bit, but with Azzy in the background downloading a constant stream of films it was a bit sluggish during combat.

So yea, I’ve been watching some new films I haven’t gotten around to seeing. Ocean’s 12 isn’t as good as the first but it isn’t bad. I loved Mr and Mrs Smith, very good film and Angelina Jolie looked rather fine Still got Unleashed and Blade Trinity in the pipeline. Will probably watch them tomorrow.

Looks like I’m heading back into Cardiff on friday, once I get back to setting up things ready for LAN, which will be taking place early September (I hope). Still working on a web interface to load / unload dedicated game servers, plus linking to each game’s own web admin if its running. There’s also the long tedious task of ripping ISO’s of their *cough* originals and dumping them on Locke, our dedicated game resource provider.

From the replies I got from the previous post, looks like a lot of people are interested… and with the idea of portforwarding lingering around, we might be able to support 3 or 4 outsiders to the LAN too (according to Charlie). We’ve also found larger surface to set up computers so we’ve got a lot of positions to fill

I know for a fact I won’t be able to win this tourney though. I’m so out of practice I will be used to wipe the floor. So you’ve all got a chance this time round.

Anyway thats enough chatting for the moment, I’m gonna play with Linux some more!

Well, I guess it’s time for another blog, I know its been a while already but meh, better late than never I guess.

That job I mentioned in the previous post about being done automatically is actually false, no one knows the status of that and no one knows where this strange information spawned from. So there is still a chance we could do that this year, we just got to contact the guy at InServ, I’ll have to ask crox if he has his contact details since he worked there last year.

Other news, hmmm oh yea, Mike is now going out with Kate. Good for you mate Hope it goes well. Ummm what else? Oh hehehehe, yea I remember. Since Mike went to be security at the Big Chill, we all said we’d have mad rampant sex on his bed while he was away… and since he left his door unlocked, it was an invitation… heh. Well, the mad rampant sex did not happen, however we staged it to look like it had… A masterpiece I must admit. Me and Benji-kun worked on the “Sexual Penetration Chart” while Grif and Charlie worked on the ummm, urgh… used contraceptive… a beautiful mix of mayo, milk and otherstuff… carefully poured into a condom and placed next to Mike’s keyboard. The chart basically had a list of names along the top and down the side, and where the rows crossed over, a tick was made to indicate who has “been” with who, with the person on top being the name along the top of the chart… was good. So we filled this all out, made a mess of Mike’s bed left the incriminating evidence behind and we were done. Luckily, Mike was in good humour about it so all was good. We even have the “Making Of” photos to put up, so expect to see them soon! Heh, we’re bastards

Last of all, if you have been wondering about the title of the blog. I propse another Comscare LAN Tournament, I’ve held the Comscare Cup for a while now and I think its time for someone else to have a chance at winning (and I am so out of practice right now I would easily be beaten :S). I reckon we should have a LAN towards the end of Summer holidays, maybe towards the end of september as people are returning to Cardiff (and since I will probably be returning home this month anyway). We’ll prob play a lot of games and be so much more prepared with pre-ripped ISOs and a dedicated game server ready. But of course, UT2004 is a must at some point. All those interested please leave a comment. I would like to see how many people are interested.
